Patio Canopies Protecting Your Patio From The Elements

Canopy Rentals

This article provides useful, detailed information about Canopy Rentals.

Because of their beauty and functionality, canopies are now very widely used for weddings and other special occasions held outdoors. Renting them is quite easy and hassle free, if you know what things to prepare for. Here are some quick tips.

Know the size you need. Whether you need a big or small canopy or a set of canopies depends entirely on the occasion. As a general guide, you need smaller canopies for plain assemblies (about seven to eight square feet per person), a slightly bigger space for buffet dinners (about ten square feet per person), and the biggest space for sit-down dinners (about fifteen square feet per person). Do the simple math: If you have 100 guests in a sit down dinner requiring at least fifteen square feet each, you need about 150 square feet of canopy tent. Finding the canopy size you need is never a problem. Most canopy rental companies have units that range in size from as little as fifty square feet to over 100,000 square feet per single tent.

Reserve early. Canopy tents could run out especially during peak seasons, so it\'s a good idea to reserve at the earliest possible time. You will also need to secure fire and building safety permits to erect the tents, so immediately contact your city hall. Prepare documents such as engineering specs, an illustration of the tent layout, and a flame certificate for special events – you need these to secure a permit, and they can take some time to produce.

Cover safety essentials. Rent only tents that are fire-resistant. Ask the canopy rental company to show you their fire retardant and anti-ultra violet degradation certifications.

Prepare for add-ons. If you think you might need special tent features such as sidewalls, carpeting, air-conditioning or heating, lighting, and even restroomsScience Articles, then reserve early. Canopy rental companies usually have a limited number of these features and distribute them for different occasions across the country. You might not get all the add-ons you need if you are do not reserve ahead of time.
